This is an interesting middle ground between Son Lux the band and Son Lux the soloist. This feels like a very professional, high budget album with a whole group behind it, yet it was still primarily Ryan Lott. Either way it doesn't matter - like all Son Lux albums, this is amazing. It really looks like the cover photo is of a specific area in Hampi India. Hampi is a wonderful and magical area and whether the photo is actually of that or not, the subtle Indian-vocals that anchor the morning side capture the ancient magic. I look forward to returning to India and listening to this, tea in hand as I sit at the base of an ancient Shiva temple.
